We spent three nights at Kew House over Easter weekend, and would choose to stay here again and again. The location is perfectly convenient to the airport and the center of town. If you're up for a nice walk, Kew House sits on the main street leading into town - about a 15 minute walk. Or, as we did on may trips into the city center, catch the bus and be there in 5. The 24-hour bus pass is well worth the money.
Even though Kew House sits on a fairly busy street, we had the ground floor room facing the street and had no issues with noise at night. The room was very clean, the linens comfortable and the hot water always available in the bathroom. A small fridge in the closet was always filled with 2 bottles of water and a few packages of shortbread for the afternoon!
Breakfast was excellent, whether you eat light or heavy, with everything from cereal and muffins to eggs and haggas.
Ian and Alan were superb hosts, providing every bit of information we needed and giving us excellent tips to make the most of our visit.
We loved the hospitality of Edinburgh and of Kew House, and would highly recommend both to anyone looking for a nice holiday.
