“Can I have some more?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

A party of six of us went to this restaurant for a carvery lunch for my son's birthday. We used their two course option. It took over 40mins to order soup with a inedible French Onion soup eventually delivered to our table after the third attempt (each time we were told that a different soup was soup of the day) Deciding to skip soup we then went to the carvery where we were offered miniscule strips of the meats available. The portions were no where near the quantity shown on the picture on the menu.I have been to other carvery restaurants and never been served such meagre portions. All in all a very disappointing experience

“Mothers-day meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

On the whole it was good, the food ok but not mind blowing, service pretty slow as not enough staff on. However very child friendly and made feel welcome.

Can improve on service ( must try harder )

“Extremely good value for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Staff are extremely polite and the service is excellent.

We try to go at least every 6 weeks to eat and on a weekly basis just for a drink and maybe a snack. Great atmosphere (but no music) and never seen any trouble.

Well worth a visit as whilst away from the centre there are places to park and also not too far from local bus routes!

“Consistently good meat, veg, Yorkshires and gravies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We keep going back. Most recently we both had some of all four meats. I took a piece of pork crackling and it turned out to be huge (not to mention very crisp and tasty). We usually go between noon and 12:30, suspecting that this is when the vegetables are most fresh and hot; but they are kept so by steam over water baths. Huge crisp Yorkshire puddings. Choice of gravies; I like the Country version. Tables by a window or by a radiator, but not both! Service cheerful and polite. Soft drinks, and house wine, good and not expensive. You are usually given a token to encourage you to come back later in the same month! Gents: toilet paper verging on too narrow! All very clean.
