We were on a stag do of a more refined type than curry and beer. We were searching for a suitable eatery and stumbled across circus.
The interior is unassuming and basic but friendly...it doesnt need to be anything else. The service was friendly and due to the lack of other guests we felt relaxed.
The food itself can't be described as exceptional but it was certainly executed to a pretty high standard. I had the calamari to start and the mixed grill for main and both hit the spot. Others in the party had the bruschetta and were a little confused about the use of slices of brown bread. This however didn't matter as it tasted very good.
This is certainly not going to make the higher end restaurants worry about their position in the Edinburgh food chain but if you would like a simple but tasty greek orientated menu then why not give it a go?
