This is the second time this year we've stayed at this hotel and we cannot fault it. We take a family room 1 double and a covertable sofa bed for the 2 chldren and it's very good value.
Breakfast buffet is good with a large choice of hot and cold food.

Staff were very friendly and helpful especially with the children.

I stayed here with my Husband (the day after our wedding) for 1 nights stay before leaving from Edinburgh Airport for our flight to Manchester then onwards to our honeymoon.

We had a very pleasant stay and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

We were given great advice on transport to the airport and the hotel had no problems arranging this for us.

Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable, this was the general feeling about the whole hotel.

We didnt eat here, instead we ventured into Edinburgh to George street and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, which was also great.

We even vivited the zoo before heading to the airport. We got discounted tickets from the hotel.

Overall, this hotel was cheap and very cheerful...a lovely start to an amazing honeymoon

  • Liked — very clean, accomodating staff and very central

I stayed here for 1 night recently with my wife and 2 year old son.

overall I was quite impressed with the Hotel.

Check in and check out were quick and efficient.

There was a carvery for dinner in the restuarant and the food was better than average - a good selection and not too pricey for a hotel.

We used the swimming pool and it was fine, however there is no shallow end for kids.

The room itself was OK, large bed, clean and the sofa bed made up before we got to the room.

The most positive thing about the hotel is the staff - all of the staff were very friendly and excellent with our child, this included the receptionist, the people working in the gym, the restuarant staff
and the bar staff - all very friendly and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy.

I stay at so many hotels all over the UK that it was a real pleasant suprise to find some effiecient, happy and accomodating staff, in fact they should send them to some of the other Holiday Inn's I stay at to train some of them!

stayed here for 2 nights on a B&B deal after 2 days around Ben Nevis area. Hotel is very welcoming, priority club check in was already waiting for us. Staff were very professional and knowledgable about the local area.
We had a room on the 5th floor, 2 adults and 2 kids in family room which was ready and made up for us. Comfortable beds, asked for 6 additonal pillows - not a problem brought straight up. the rooms are your typical chain hotel type rooms, bathroom clean and well presented.
A bus ride from the city centre is easy - the bus stop is right outside the hotel, 10 mins and you are in Princess street.
Parking is easy and free (edinburgh can be expensice for parking - if you can find a space. !)
Used the leisure facilities - very well presented, clean and although pool may be small, the kids had a great time.
Breakfast was a big plus - a large selection of cooked and continental and does not close "bang on time" - good for latecomers.
there seemed to be a mix of business people and families here.
When I am returning to edinburgh this is a gimmee for somewhere to stay.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on business. Arrived late, check inn was fast and friendly. Got a room on the 4th floor which was lovely comfortable bed , bathroom was clean plenty of room. Had room service for breakfast which was fab and arrived on time. I'd read previous reviews and was a little worried but I couldn't fault the hotel. Checkout was fast and plenty of taxis. The hotel is next to the Zoo and on on the main route into the City, so would be a good base. There seemed to be a good mix of business people and tourists.
The restaurants and bars looks fairly busy at night which is always a good sign I think, good atmostphere.
Would recommend a stay here.
