My husband and I spent one night in Borthwick Castle in April 2003. It was a unique experience for us. we had never been to the UK before, much less had ever seen an actual castle prior to this trip. We were both fastinated with the history and architecture of the castle. The staff was extremely friendly, courtious and informative.
The meals were excellent, the rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
Taxi service was available for our return trip to Edinburgh.
All in all, it was a tremendous experience to be able to "go back in time" to actually be able to stay in a castle.
