After a day of travelling, Elmview was a quick bus ride from Waverley station. As a first time visitor to Scotland and travelling alone, the location is extremely convenient. Elmview is wonderfully close (easy 15 minute walk) to the city centre and all the Edinburgh attractions, but is in a peaceful, beautiful area overlooking a large park.

The accommodation is spacious and inviting with magnificent bedrooms and large bathrooms: especially luxurious after a long day of sightseeing! Robin and Nici showed me wonderful hospitality, and very kindly helped me resolve travel problems I had experienced. Both hosts are warm, welcoming and I greatly enjoyed discussing Scottish sights and history.

I highly recommend Elmview as fantastic accommodation from which to discover Edinburgh. Many, many thanks to Robin and Nici – I will be back for the Festival if I book early enough!

Having stayed in many hotels and bed and breakfast establishments over thirty or more years, I can honestly say that Elmview was the best I have ever experienced! If only every town and city had an Elmview run by Robin and Nicci Hill, the world would be much better for it. Rooms and beds were comfortable and spotlessly clean; the breakfast was truly amazing...superbly presented, a fantastic selection, and so tasty; the location was very convenient and surprisingly peaceful for a city centre, and the hospitality was second to none. Without doubt, we will be back!

A perfect B&B located a 10 minute walk from the city centre.
Nici & Robin were excellant hosts and provided advice, information and above all wonderful hospitality. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms were spacious and tastefully furnished with extra personal touches that ensured that we all felt completely comfortable. Elmview was everything we could have hoped for and more. We had a great time. Thank you Nici & Robin for everything.

We spent our first nights in Scotland at the Elmview and were very comfortable..sherry and biscuits awaited us in our room..bathroom was large and modern...beds very comfortable..enjoyed the view onto the garden from the dining room...breakfast buffet was delicious..convenient location to all...bus to center just steps away and wonderful Jacques restaurant within easy walk.
