We loved our accomadation at the Elmview B&B in Edinburgh.
It is located in a residencial area by a park. Perfect location for visiting a student at the University of Edinbugh.
The room was large, clean and homey with an equally large bathroom. The breakfasts were wonderful and we enjoyed speaking with the other travelers. The owners were helpful with sightseeing and car rental ( we used Condor for two days of rentals and were also very happy with their service).
The B&B also provides movies for our room TV, we watched Braveheart to catch up on our knowlege of Scotland's history.
We enjoyed this beautiful city and the lovely Elmview.

My son and I stayed 2 nights at Elmview. When we arrived Robin the owner welcomed us and show us the room. The room was very tidy and spacious and contained everything you need - from shampoo till cherry liquer and 2 bottles of mineral water. In the room was an notebook with detailed information like transportation, restaurants nearby, attraction at town etc.
Breakfast was very good with large variety. The place is located about 15 minutes of walking from the center.
Robin and his wife Nici is a very nice couple that do their best to give their visitors a great time.
We highly recommend this B&B.

Wonderful B@B. Spacious accomodations. Wonderful breakfast. Very convenient location. The owners were part chef, historian, and travel agent. Their congeniality helped make our stay a memorable one. We have stayed in B@BS throughout Europe and the U.S. and found Elmview to be comparable with the best ones. Highly recommend.! Dave Renee

Our stay at Elmview was short (only two nights), but we experienced wonderful hospitality (tea and cake waiting for us when we arrived), accommodations (pretty room with a sitting area, fresh flowers, and an up-to-date bath), and breakfasts (cooked to order and with unusual touches -- not the standard English breakfast). Robin and Niki were the perfect hosts, and they helped us with restaurant recommendations and instructions on the use of the buses. Parking is a problem, however. We parked our car in a secure, underground lot a few blocks from Elmview at a cost of 15 pounds per day. With that caveat, I would recommend Elmview to anyone who is looking for a B and B in Edinburgh

Fantastic location, first class service, great hosts and every possible need catered for, from fluffy bathrobes to homemade breakfasts. Having travelled around the UK many times I can't remember staying at such a great B&B. Located overlooking the wonderfully lush Brutisfield Links golf course and a easy 10 minute walk to Princess Street, the Castle and the Royal Mile, you can't go wrong staying here.
Nici's fantastic breakfasts will keep you going for most of the day & with Robin's hints & tips on parking, tourist trips and haggis hunting, you'll have a great time.
We only stayed 2 nights but when we return to Edinburgh, the only place we'll be staying is Elmview.
