“Very good value in a convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Friendly staff, nice rooms, and extremely easy access to all the popular tourist destinations in Edinburgh. Free wi-fi was also a plus. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but for the very cheap price of the stay, no complaints at all.

Actually this was an average hostel with a great location. It was not clean but in an acceptable condition. I think I was not the first one to use my bedlinens!!! There was a weird smell of dirt in the room, it was probably because of the already used linen and not well cleaned carpet on the floor. I can not tell you to avoid it; but get ready to stay in an average hostel!

The very reason why I love this hostel so much is because people there are very humble, especially the receptionist. Then, the location can't be better, just a view minutes from Edinburgh Castle. Even in my room, I can sit on the window and watch peoples walking in Royal Mile :D

I really enjoyed this hostel, and it's so cheap!
A nice cheap breakfast, friendly staff, spacious rooms and a good kitchen and gathering area.
It also has a great view of the royal mile and so close to everything!

I was there with my parents (53) and we were absolutely satisfied :) Friendly stuff, clean, we slept well, great location and enough space for our luggage.

Nice place! They even have old shampoos and stuff to reuse that folks left behind. Nice lockers, plenty of outlets, a little discount with places down the street, helpful staff, and wifi. Needs are met here. Nice.

Stayed here for 4 nights in mid January and it was great! It's in a great spot right on the Royal Mile, less than 5 minutes walk to the castle. The rooms are as good as you'd expect for a hostel, but their names are themed so that makes them awesome (e.g. I was in the 'Little Miss' room and some of the beds were Chatterbox, Bossy, Fun etc.). You also got a locker with an actual lock, which was nice. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Oh! And it was VERY cheap! Great value!
