“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We spent two nights at this Premier Inn and have to say it was perfect.
The room was spotlessly clean and fresh . We booked full breakfast for both days and found the food and choice extremely good .
I have a dairy intolerance and when asking if they had soya milk the receptionist brought some straight to the room for my coffee and told me if I need anymore to just call.
All in all a very pleasant stay .

We stayed for 4 nights over half term, 2 adults and one child. Our room was spacious and modern, with a big bathroom, good shower and full sized bath. We would certainly stay there again as it was a convenient location to get into Edinburgh and to see our family who live nearby. Excellent value for money bed and breakfast.

This Premier Inn is the standard by which all Premier Inns SHOULD be run.
The staff helpful, curtious and willing to give that little extra to make sure our stay was perfect.
Close to the Airport but far enough away so as not to be disturbed by aircraft taking off and landing.
The restaurant food was of high standard and the staff again friendly and attentive.
The rooms were sparkling clean. Always a good sign.
By far the best Premier Inn to date

This is one of the best Premier Inn's I have stayed in - the rooms are spotlessly clean, the bar/restaurant food is great and the staff are extremely friendly and offer exceptional service. There is sufficient parking and, even though the hotel is near both the motorway and the airport,, there is no excessive noise to trouble your sleep. Check in and check out were both efficient and friendly. Would certainly recommend and will definitely stay here again when next in the area in business.

This airport is not at the airport it is ten minutes and £10 in a taxi away. It is not good enough to advertise as an airport hotel in this day and age without a shuttle.

The hotel itself is fine and seems quite new. The staff are quite nice and the restaurants’ food is quite good.

But....

The shower takes 10mins to get to hot in the morning (room 245 so maybe at the very end of the heating system) also I had to wait 30mins to get a table in the restaurant even thought there were plenty of free tables. There just doesn’t seem to be enough kitchen or waiting staff.

In conclusion this could be a great hotel if it had a bus to the airport and a few more staff in the kitchen and restaurant..

Room Tip: If your not driving I would suggest a hotel with a shuttle bus

Having had a meal in the hotel last October when picking up our daughter from the airport we decided to stay overnight prior to my early morning flight. We knew there was no dedicated transport to the airport but my husband drove and dropped me there returning to the hotel for another couple of hours rest and breakfast. Our room was clean and had a kingsize bed. Providing us with extra coffee and teabags for our in-room facilities was no problem. All the staff were very helpful including an offer to immediately change our room when we said that our air-conditioning seemed to have an intermittent wheeze. In the event a change was not required by us and did not disturb our sleep (although we had been told that should we have a disturbed night then the cost of our room would be repayed to us!).

In spite of the name "Edinburgh airport" this hotel is nowhere near the airport; it's at least 6 miles away! One needs a car or taxi to get there from the airport. It's in the middle of a new industrial estate and close to a very busy, noisy dual carriage road.
The rooms are small with only one window which could not be opened at all. The air cooling system was so noisy that it prevented decent sleeping. There was no way of putting the room temperature below 19°C which is far too warm to sleep. From the very early hours one hears slamming doors by leaving guests. There is hardly any storage space.
At reception the staff are very friendly and helpful, so they are in the restaurant/bar.
All in all, not a bad experience, but only good for a 1 night stay.
