My wife and I stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott for a two night weekend break - a package involving breakfast and dinner on the first (Fri) night.
It's a very comfortable hotel. The room was first rate with better than average space (a sofa and desk/chair) and a very comfortable King bed. Immaculately clean and no signs of tiredness in the decor. Dinner on the first night was excellent, food of high quality and a good choice of wines; a pity that the restaurant was so quiet, but the staff were very attentive and the service faultless. Great staff overall; affable without being subservient.
My only complaint about the place was the ridiculously high charge for wireless internet. They wanted £15 per hour to connect, which I think is outagageous. We had recently been touring Tennessee and in every hotel we stayed in (five in total, including a Marriott) the wireless internet was free of charge. Rip off Britain again?
