We were lucky enough to get bright blue sunshine, and it was probably because of this lovely weather that it was the highlight of my 3-day trip to Edinburgh!
The walk wasn't as difficult as it had looked from the bottom (!) and the views along the way up were breathtaking with lots of photo opportunities.
We took an unconventional route down again, which involved a lot of scrabbling on rocks down a fairly sheer cliff face - great fun!!
It was a bit of a shame that there was broken glass in places - so if you have a dog please be wary of this!
People visiting Edinburgh should definitely climb Arthur's seat on a nice day, take a picnic! :-)
