“A must when in Edinburgh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

The amazing views are worth the climb, so choose a clear day. Advice would be to use the northern path passing St Margaret's chapel as the stone path to the south was very slippery.

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

The steps/stone pitching up to the top from the western side can get very slippery. Otherwise enjoy the climb and views from the top.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

My wife and I hiked up Arthur's Seat during the middle of a nice sunny day. Quite the distance to the top and some routes are fairly slippery or rocky but if you're at all coordinated it shouldn't be a problem. Once you've reached the top, no matter how much you do or don't struggle, you'll be satisfied with the amazing views you discover. Would surely go back up, if ever given the chance to again.

50 minute walk round Arthur's Seat with panaramic views of Edinburgh. Great way to relax and clear your mind.

“Well worth the climb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We wanted to visit Arthur's seat on our visit but the previous night had been wet and our final day in Edinburgh was also quite wet and windy.

We decided to attempt the walk and once we started we were determined to get to the top. The final part of the walk was quite muddy and the winds at the peak were very strong but it was worthwhile as the panoramic views were brilliant. Well worth the climb but would suggest going on a calmer day as it was a little dangerous at the very top in the high winds.
