Lift was broken, which meant 4 flights of stair, but the offer of the service elevator was made.
Superb views of the Balmoral and Old Post Office, bridges etc. Room was very clean and functional. The staff were way above average, with superb hospitality throughout. We left our mobile behind, and someone in housekeeping rushed up to our room, found the phone and sent it back to us in the post. My only small criticism, and it is small, was that we booked the breakfast inclusive deal, and we looking forward to eggs benedict, which we noticed on the menu, only to be told that the inclusive deal only included the buffet, which although excellent, was a little disappointing. Also the bread selection was poor, cheap white and brown, no granary or wheat or thick flour white etc. But again the cheerfulness and helpfulness of the breakfast staff more the made up.

We are currently having our lifts refurbished; one had been completed and the other was still progressing in it works. Unfortunately, on the weekend you visited, our new working lift had a problem too, I am so sorry this was the case, but it was unforeseen circumstances and it meant we had to revert to the service lift until it was fixed on Monday. I genuinely hope this didn't spoil your weekend in any way.
I am delighted to hear that my team looked after you so well while you were here; we really do try to make our guests feel welcome and ensure they enjoy their time with us. I am pleased that your mobile was safely returned to you too!
Our new buffet breakfast has been a big success with our recent guests, as we now have so much more choice and additional items to offer, such as smoked salmon and mackerel, pancakes, make your own muesli, figs, fresh fruit and many more. I was sorry to read that you only had the choice of white and brown bread as that is certainly not our new standard and you should have also had the choice of white and brown toasting bread as well as sour dough bread and brioche too. l will look into this with my team and can only apologise that this wasn’t available to you on the day you ate with us. We do have a supplementary menu at breakfast too, containing items for which there is a charge and this should have been explained to you, when you first sat down to breakfast, I am so sorry that this wasn’t made clear to you.
