The location is great, right on Princes Street, with superb views, and if you're in a street-facing room on the 7th floor you can climb out the window onto the balcony.
However I didn't have a comfortable stay. The room stank of smoke (I was later told that they had "really good air freshener" that I should have asked for - but if that's the case, why didn't they use it?) My single room was tiny but cosy enough, but the bed was uncomfortable with a peculiarly pancake-like duvet.
Internet via the tv or btopenzone (at a price) in the bar. The bar was ok - small but a good place to do a bit of work over a drink or whatever. Breakfast was pretty good - a large buffet. I guess for what my company paid (£105) it wasn't a bad deal - but not a hotel to get excited about.
