I stayed there for 2 nights in February. The hotel is all right, but there are some things that are not that good.
The clock outside the hotel is not on time. I know it's a detail, but your near an ariport... It would be nice to have a clock on time!
Don't take the shuttle bus, just gon on foot, it's quicker!!! If you don't have to wait on other passenger, it mignt be quicker, but it's a 5 minutes walk to the airport.
Book a room in Edinburgh itself.
I thougth I would find a good deal of some luxury outside Edinburgh, but I only found a 45 minutes ride to the center and another 45 minutes ride to come back.
There was a hole in th room's wall, there were stains on the walls, but the carpet, the bed and the bathroom were clean. The pool was all right.
I had a half board package. The breakfast was brilliant, but there were additional charges for some extra vegetables and a salad I ordered at dinner... I just paid for those extras, but I don't think they should have charged me the extras. The restaurant looks like a cheap cafeteria, as there is no tablecloth on the tables, but the food is very good.
So once again my last advice, book a room in Edinburgh city, and avoid this hotel, unless you have to sleep near the airport. The money you pay has nothing to do with the service you get.

Booked three rooms with HHonors points for our group vacation's last night before heading home from a UK vacation. We arrived early, and the staff set our expectation properly (it wasn't clear that our rooms would be ready, since we were there a little early). By the time we were done checking in, they were sure we had open accomodations, which turned out to be accurate. Condition and maintenance of the rooms: good, despite the probable heavy traffic (some rooms are in the process of being refurbished). All the facilities worked well, and my travelling companions noted everything was fine. We all had early flights in the morning, so our dinner out (thanks to the concierge, we got a good recommendation outside of the hotel - which we asked for) and shuttle to the airport early were spot-on. One note to travelers to business class or better hotels: If you arrange for a cab through the concierge, expect to pay a fixed fare to your destination that has been arranged beforehand, and that will be 25-30% higher than a cab from the airport. However, you will be able to call them directly (you'll get a card, usually) when you're done and want to go to your next stop. Since it's raining a lot (especially in Mar - Apr), cabs are sometimes hard to find. Remember, gas is $8/gal so they're not going to take you out of your way nor slow down to milk your fare!

We stayed here for two nights, room only, Friday & Saturday as we were attending a wedding nearby. Courtesy bus collected us from terminal after using free telephone in arivals, 2 minute drive to hotel. Room good but usual standard of furnishings. Quiet for being on airport. We did not eat in the restaurant but had two breakfasts delivered to our room. I ordered the english and my wife the continental. It arrived first day on time, but not very warm, only one set of cutlery, one cup, one glass of juice. Toast hardly cooked - warm bread really. Second morning still not very hot, only one lot of toast when two were ordered, again only one set of cutlery. Not impressed at all. Apart from that, easy for location but would not return.

I have stayed here purely because of Hilton points in the past but have got to report a big improvement. It's an airport not a holiday hotel so you expect a comfy bed, decent food and if working web access. They're still working on the latter but the people aspect around the restaurant has really shot up - to the point it's an enjoyable experience. Congrats to them for responding to criticism and doing it well. Get the web and it's going to be sorted !
