My partner and i have just returned from a long weekend staying at the Knights Residence.

On our arrival it was the quickest check in i have ever had must have taken all of 1 minute signed my name and wrote my car registration on the check in slip. Charlie one of the front desk staff jumped in the back of our car and showed us the entrance to the car park as due to edinburghs marvelous one way system it is a bit difficult to find. Charlie carried some of the bags to the apartment and showed us how everything worked. When we had a small problem with the cable tv he was upstairs within mintues and reset it for us.

The accomodation is comfortable in a great location for all the attractions. I am orginally from glasgow but live in manchester and in regards to the neighbour i would say that it is okay. There are a few lap dancing clubs at the end of the street but the windows are blacked out and they caused us no problems.

In the 3 days we were there did not have a bad meal. There is a indian restaurant around the corner called Ghandis it is well worth a visit or does home delivery it you can not be bothered going out. The Last Drop in the grassmarket was nice friendly pub.

Overall very enjoyable stay will be back to the KR.

We just got back from Edinburgh where we stayed at the Knight Residence. It was absolutely wonderful and, in fact, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The apartment was spotless and included a welcome package with various foods and even milk for cereal. The service was excellent with the staff going out of their way to assist you. True, there were two lap dance clubs on the corner which initially concerned us. However, we didn't notice any problems with the establishments at all. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the Grassmarket and the Royal Mile. Free computers with internet service were available so we could check our email and check-in online for our flights. My only complaint was that there were no televisions in the bedrooms (especially the master bedroom). We were traveling with children and would have liked to have our own TV in the master bedroom. Other than that, we had no other problems or complaints.

Stayed 2 nights here, based on great reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed in the least. Fantastic apartment style accommodation, fully equipped with everything imaginable (DVD, CD, full kitchen, etc.). Staff was universally excellent and extremely professional. Location quite good, in the Grassmarket area. A bit of a steep climb to the Royal Mile, but this is Edinburgh. Construction across the street - unsightly but not a real problem. A couple of strip clubs within 100 yards but not a problem either; maybe a bit of noise in the wee hours if windows are open. All in all, I would recommend this location to anyone travelling to Edinburgh.

Really a great location, comfortable accommodations and extremely competent and dedicated staff. Hello Christopher and Hugh!

Our daughter lives down the street from the Knight Residence. This is our second stay with them. This time my husband and I brought my sister along for the trip. We have no complaints aside from not having the opportunity to have more conversations with the staff.

We spent a lot of time in the apartment during morning hours and we were not bothered by the construction. Yes there are some men's clubs down the block but we if not for the posts mentioning this fact it probably would have gone unnoticed.

It is an incredibly convenient location, just a stone's throw from the Grassmarket, food shopping at Tesco and great restaurants and pubs. And the sites, the aparthotel provides informative brochures and books on all the tourist information and what you don't find in the apartment the staff will investigate for you.

The apartments are private and quiet. They are placed in a comfortable neighborhood with outdoor seating where you can enjoy the long daylight hours reading or just sit and watch children playing.

You can't go wrong with a stay at the Knight Residence. We can't wait to go back.

The rating on this hotel should be going up. Our stay (three nights) was faultless. Absolutely spotless three room suite. Christopher and Hugh went out of their way to be helpful -- from "spot on" restaurant recommendations to taking the laundry to their dryer in the basement when ours failed. Can't say enough about these two friendly gentlemen.

The hotel warned us about the contstruction when we booked the reservations, but the noise didn't start until 8:00 am and stopped by 4:00. The hotel is warm, inviting and comfortable.

Definitely stay here and listen to everything Christopher and Hugh tell you.
