“Get lost in another world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Of all the places I now go with a buggy in tow, this is my favourite. It's free to get in, I have actually spend an entire day here and then gone back the next day! I'm an amateur artist and I just take my sketch pad and a cushion and get lost in my own little world in various parts of the gardens. My favourite spot is the giant beech hedge - it's like being in Alice in Wonderland. The new entrance and cafe there is brilliant - I wasn't sure of it when I saw the plans before it was built but it really is very beautiful and complimentary architecture with a great shop downstairs so you can spend ages mooching round the shop buying bits and bobs and lovely books too. Amazing what history comes with the Botanics too. Well worth the visit.

“Don't miss this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

You don't have to pay to wander the gorgeous gardens! Go to Inverleith Gardens, feed the swans, then go up the hill & head on over to The Botanics. Take a picnic lunch & sit on one of the benches & enjoy!

“Enjoyable Afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Spent a lovely Sunday afternoon here with my 2 little ones. My toddler loved stopping for a scone in the cafe and then playing with the toys they had there. Great place for kids to use up energy outside too. Grounds are stunning.

“Sitting here now as I write the review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Free WiFi by the east gate - lovely grounds and helpful knowledgeable staff. Check the opening times before you visit as I turned up too early and if you can down load a free map to save £1 on arrival. Worth revisiting as the vista changes all the tiem
