A wonderful experience...superior room comfortable, large, and quiet, with a great view of the royal mile, service exceptional.

The location of the hotel simply cannot be beat. Great pubs across the street (with live music on Sunday nights), and all the historical attractions are within a few minutes walking distance in this beautiful city.

We would definitely book again!!

My daughter and I have just returned from a two night break at the Radisson in Edinburgh. Being a regular visitor to the Radisson in Glasgow I was expecting a similar level of service. I could not have been more wrong.
The public areas of the hotel are all very "nice". This is more than can be said for our room which I found to be dull and a little rundown. The bathroom which looked in need of a facelift was cramped and dimly lit.
There was also inconsistencies within the delivery of service. We had booked a twin room yet were allocated a double. On our first night there was turndown service, on the second night there wasn't. We had to contact housekeeping for towels. We had to contact housekeeping to request that our room be serviced. On checking out we were charged forty pounds for mini bar items which we had not used. I feel that these things taken individually are "little niggles". However when they happen one after the other over a two day period it is simply unacceptable. I can't help but feel this hotel must surely be struggling to retain it's four star status.

This hotel couldn't have been in a better location. Right on the Royal Mile, between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The staff was very helpful from checking in/out, bus/train information, etc. The breakfast buffet is a bit high priced, but overall, we were very pleased with this choice. We would definitely stay there again and again.

The Radisson SAS is a modern hotel located on Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile.

At check-in we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner and were informed that we were being upgraded to a Business Class room at no extra cost which was a pleasant start to our three night break in Edinburgh.

The room was very spacious for a British hotel room and featured an Espresso making machine.

The bathroom was clean and spacious and the powerful shower was the perfect way to freshen up before exploring the city centre.

The hotel is contemporary and clean throughout with friendly and professional staff throughout. It will be our first choice of accommodation when returning to Edinburgh.

We only stayed for one night at this hotel as we had already booked a two night deal at the Caledonian Hilton where we stayed for the remaining two nights of our three night stay in the city.

We only intended to stay in Edinburgh for two nights but we flew up one night earlier as the flights were cheaper on the Tuesday. I booked the Radisson SAS for the first night as I was impressed with many of the reviews on tripadvisor and the presentation of the hotel on the Radisson SAS website. The hotel fully lived up to our expectations.
