My partner and I ended up in this hotel after booking a 'mystery' four star hotel in Edinburgh on lastminute. On a budget, we were pleased that the room included breakfast - however, in the morning there was a buffet including bread rolls and yoghurt - but you have to pay an astounding £11.50 for a cooked breakfast which in most hotels is included in the room price (which we paid a hefty £100 per night for - a special rate - normally it's even more). The car park was a shambles with people double parked left right and centre and more than one car blocked in as a result. The (very small) room was not as clean as I would have liked, especially the bathroom (there was unidentifiable muck under the bathroom mirror. I thought it was best left alone). In addition to this we had a 'double' room, which, unbelievably, was two very narrow twin beds pushed together - and get this, we didn't even get a double duvet! No, we had to make do with two single duvets which proved very irritating throughout the night (which, incedently, was also disturbed by the fact the room was WAY too hot, no air-conditioning and a single glazed window which rattled in its frame all night once opened). On the plus side, the staff seemed polite and friendly, and the hotel is located quite well, within walking distance of Princes's street - however, don't waste your money on the Bonham - the place is over-priced and pretentious and you'd do much better in a little guesthouse (no doubt with double bed and free cooked breakfast).
