My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Grand on our last night in Scotland. It is very well located - a five minute walk to Princes Street, for example. We had a standard room, on the back of the hotel. It was well-appointed and comfortable. It was also very quiet, which we appreciated!
We ate dinner in The Grill - the best restaurant in the hotel. We had an excellent meal and not too expensive, considering UK prices! The service was also excellent. We took the buffet breakfast in the Terrace restaurant before going to the airport. This was also good, but I thought expensive for what it was.
I would definitely stay there again, should we go to Edinburgh again. The hotel doesn't have any local character but it is very comfortable and the service is very good.
