What a shame. I had consoled myself wth having to travel on work on a Sunday by the thought of staying in a hotel that had a reputation for being a bit of a treat. The spa might be a treat - the hotel certainly isn't.
My classic room was utterly drab and the window was open, letting in a stong foodie smell from the kitchen roof directly outside. As it was a cold autumnal day, I obviously closed it. A loud whistle then filled the room as the high pitched wind weirdly squeezed through the pane.
Normally I would, but I couldn't be bothered complaining as I was dog tired but presumably the management are aware of the problem as the window was left ajar on a very chilly day.
The spa's great.
The breakfast is fab, especially if you are a fan of kippers - I love'em.
