“Tiny rooms!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

I stayed in this hotel as I have had pleasant stays with Travelodge in the past. Upon entering the room, it was unbearable hot, so much so that I had to open the window and leave for an hour, (after you have managed to open the sliding door to the window - a challenge in itself). The room was very small and did not have enough storage space for our two cases. Two adults were checked in and only one towel was provided. The stay has put me off staying again!

Stayed here for a lads weekend & found the hotel hard to fault. We had a family room on the second floor & it was enormous. Room was comfortable, clean & quiet. Very impressed. Would certainly recommend this hotel & it's only a short walk to the tram stop & the clubs & bars.

We got a train to Edinburgh for a 2 night stay just after new year. The hotel is less than a five minute walk from the station.
We checked in, staff were friendly and as we were early the receptionist agreed to mind our bags so we could go and get something to eat until we could check into our room.
The hotel is literally right in the centre of the city, with the majority of bars & shops down the road. After we checked in the room was small but clean & tidy and the bed was very comfortable.
For the price paid it is a bargain and perfect for a city break to the Scottish capital.

We stayed here for 1 night as we were watching Wales v Scotland at Murrayfield . We used the q park car pair as travelodge guests receive a discount . It was around a 5 minute brisk walk to the hotel from the car park. The hotel was a bargain at £22 a night. We paid an extra £10 to check in early. We were pleased to find a nice modern room with a comfortable king size bed. The location is very central and ideal for shops, bars and restaurants. If your visiting Murrayfield you can get the tram from the shopping area to the stadium.
My only other tip would be to ensure you lock your doors whilst in the room as friends of ours were given keys to a room and when they entered two people were already in bed! But I would definitely stay here again at that price for this location.

Clean, recently refurbished rooms with great beds, inner glazing to reduce external noise to a minimum, free baggage storage prior to check-in and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing lacking was a drawer to put socks and pants, but at the pre-booked price, very tough to beat. Ridiculously convenient for Waverley Station and the rest of the city.

Room Tip: Book early to get best rates.

Stayed here for 1 night. So handy for everything 2 minute walk from Waverley train station. But beware DONT follow the walking instructions in Travelodge website, I took us down a dead end alley way with the hotel on the next level up above us so after 30 minutes of trying to find it we gave up walked back to the station asked for directions then realised the hotel was literally over the road, turn right from the top of escalators on exiting the station cross at the lights & the hotel is over the road!! This problem though obviously is nothing to do with the hotel, its the company who supply the map.

Excellent welcome on reception at checking in Laura receptionist very helpful.

Room small but very cosy, spotlessly clean. If you run out of tea, milk etc reception will give you more for your room. Huge white fluffy towels amazing hot shower in the room.

Would use this hotel again in visit Edinburgh again

Stayed 15-17th Feb and was impressed by the level of service from the staff, really went out of their way to helpful.

No facilities (bar, restaurant etc) as such but great location (couple of minutes walk from Waverley) station and great price.

Will stay again.
