This event has bands from all over the world, but somehow just manages to bring out how proud I am to be Scottish! There must be some innate red-haired gene in us all that has the same effect, as I have never seen so many foreigners get excited about Scottish pipe music. An excellent evening out for all the family...expensive but worth it. The atmosphere is electric and there is a real friendly feeling once you get inside the castle, which is a bit like the one you get when you go for a walk in the country at the weekend...everyone says hello to each other, as if they were best friends! Word of warning: take tartan rugs, especially if your seat is up high, and some kind of rain coat or cagoule. Ok it's held in August but this IS Scotland after all! Highlight? The lone piper of course...!

I liked the precision of performance as well as the Variety of acts on show. The price was a bit high but it is always sold out.

If you are a lady of a certain age and like men in uniforms, you'll have a great time. Other than that its a complete waste of money and an absolute snore fest.

There is not much else to say in addition to the rest of the rave reviews: this is a must see. Pomp and pageantry in a fantastic setting, and the top billing during the Fringe festival. Take warm clothing, preferably waterproof, and sit back and enjoy the show! Definitely worth the ticket prices.
