“Ok but could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014 via mobile

Two weeks after opening we popped in for lunch. Waited 10 minutes for a table which was ok as we hadn't booked. Seated and greeted by lovely waitress. Ordered lunch, two rib eye steaks. They arrived 20 mins later. Reasonably well cooked. Did it blow us away .... NO. Was it worth the money .... Not Really. All .... Ok. Waitress was lovely, extremely friendly and helpful but like most waiting staff doing her utmost to earn money for uni studies and doing it extremely well. Lovely girl. Other than that nothing special. Won't be back.

“I was disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

3 of us have been looking forward to eating here for a while as there is not much close by to wak too.

Service was ok but the food is really chain like and what is the story with the lettuce. To clean your pallet ! But it is cover in a sauce, how does that clean you pallet ?

Steaks were fine but not wow! Mushroom sauce awful. Not really sure what it was but not mushroom I love mushrooms.and there was no taste or sign of mushroom in it.

Sweets were good. Would I rush back. No .

“Great change !!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We booked for Father's Day, straight in, no waiting, attentive staff but not too in your face, ordered the fillet Wellington, you have no choice how it comes obviously, mines was rare and normally I have a medium steak, I found myself liking this rare, my mother in law have the minute steak, she asked for it well done however it was medium, we didn't highlight this as we were hungry and the steak was edible so,not too big a deal.
What you get with your steak is great value for Money and the presentation is awesome, can't wait to go back.

“GREAT STEAK BUT NOT SO GREAT CHIPS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Visited The Brig in June with 6 adults and a child. The kids fish and chips was excellent quality. The steaks were also excellent quality and cooked as requested with the sauces adding a great flavour to the steaks. The onion bread was great too. The only problem with the meal was the chips were of poor quality and a massive let down in all honesty, not sure why you would serve such great steaks with such poor chips? The service was attentive, although the waitress was difficult to understand at times. The ambience and atmosphere were also superb in the restaurant. Overall a great place to eat, they just need to improve the quality of the chips, well worth a visit if you enjoy steaks.
