A weekend away with my husband is a rare and wonderful thing and made that much more special by staying at 94DR. It was intimate, stylish and very beautiful. The suite was stunning and the bathroom luxurious - we could have stayed there all weekend watching the many DVDs on offer and snuggling up on the extremely large and tastefully dressed bed.
The breakfasts were varied and cooked to perfection and the little touches such as freshly baked cookies transported us to a 5* hotel at a fraction of the price.
We are going back soon, but bringing the kids, as the family suite is also pretty cool.
I would heartily recommend it!

Last week we stayed at the 94DR guesthouse in Edinburgh and we had a great time there. Our room, the Bowmore, was beautiful, bright and had a great view over Arthurs Seat! Everything was so well decorated and we were feeling at home with our hosts Paul and John! Breakfast was delicious and special and Paul and John made sure that we had a great stay and we would recommend staying at the 94DR to our friends and family. It was certainly value for money and much more than that!! LOVELY!

The girlfriend and I booked this hotel for hogmany and stayed here for four days, from the day we arrived Paul & John made us feel extremely welcome.

The hotel has been decorated to the highest standards and Paul & John obviously take a great pride in their guesthouse and their city.

The thing that struck me most about staying here was that Paul & John obviously love their job and go out of their way to be helpfull, it was the little touches that made an already great break perfect, coming back to the room after a days sightseeing and finding slices of whatever cake Paul & John had been making waiting in the room, made a good stay that much more enjoyable.

I almost didn't want to write a really good review of 94dr for completely selfish reasons, as i fully intend to stay here again in the future and don't want the word to get out.

But hats off to Paul & John for a really nice place, their enthuisiam and being genuinely nice blokes, really made our stay.

Stayed at 94DR (formerly MW Guesthouse) for two nights with a group of friends. We arranged for the full works, dinner, breakfast all as a private party and I can honestly say that Paul & John the hosts made us all very welcome and I am sure the food must have been Michelin two star standard, it was truly exceptional. The rooms were spotless, with a beautifully modern contemporary look. I gather they have all been recently renovated along with the en-suites. We are considering returning for my friends birthday in June.
