We've eaten in this restaurant several times now and have always enjoyed the experience, but our latest meal (on Saturday 26th January) was the best yet. Quite simply, we could not fault either the food or the service. We had booked an early evening slot as we were going on to the theatre, and the staff made sure we were finished by the time we needed to be without us ever feeling rushed. As a vegetarian, I am often disappointed by the choices available to me when eating out, but that is never the case at this restaurant. The aubergine croquettes were both imaginative and delicious, while on the other side of the table the lamb shank disappeared amid murmurs of appreciation. If I had a tiny criticism it would be that the portion of banoffee pie could have been a little more generous, but that probably says more about my greed than anything else! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and it's a great place to eat if you're seeing a show at the Playhouse, as it's only a five-minute walk away but far removed from the huge and noisy Italian restaurants in the area.

What a great review. Thank you so much. Early dining is popular due to the proximity to The Playhouse and something we are keen to tell everyone about so thank you for giving it such great feedback. We do look forward to welcoming you back again soon. With best wishes.
