“Excellent Base for Edinburgh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Our room was well appointed. The hotel dining room served good breakfasts with plenty of choice. Staff were kind, helpful and smiling. What makes this hotel stand out is its excellent location, within easy walking distance of both the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh, the railway station, buses (including the hop on hop off bus lines), and the restaurants and pubs of New Town. An excellent base for exploring Edinburgh.

Stayed here on a hen do and had an absolutely lovely time. Rooms are gorgeous, really nice bar and the staff are brilliant, so helpful! Jacopo and zack especially, both very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The night porter with long hair was also very helpful but I didn't catch his name. Also breakfast was great!

Second stay at the apex Waterloo. The location is fab and very short walk to and from the train station and princes street. Visited with my mum for her birthday. Short walks to the royal mile and holyrod park. Staff were so friendly and looked after our baggage when we couldn't check in yet. Rooms are very good size with large bathrooms. Basic decor but cozy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Perfect location and good value.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April. The hotel is conveniently located at the foot of Calton Hill, very close to the railway station and Princes Street. We upgraded our room on arrival and were pleased with the fantastic view from a very pleasant room on the 10th floor. Breakfast in the dining room was buffet style for cold foods and waitress service for toast and hot foods. I would recommend the Eggs Benedict, cooked perfectly and exceedingly tasty. The staff at the hotel were very professional and helpful. This is the first Apex hotel I have stayed in and I would definitely consider staying at another Apex hotel in the future.

Stayed for 1 night on the dinner bed and breakfast deal-total £175 for deluxe room on top floor.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Hotel is just at the end of Princes Street so is ideally located to see all that Edinburgh has to offer only a few minutes walk away. It's also just perfectly placed that it's quiet too.

All very modern and clean throughout the building.

Staff all helpful and polite.

Great stay and will definitely be back next time we visit Edinburgh.

Easy walking distance to Royle Mile and other areas of the city. Nice large rooms and bathrooms. Enjoyed taking photos of the little duck around the city. Cooked breakfast tasty and good selection of cereals. Staff accommodated my dietary needs but were unable to vouch for something they bought in as to whether it had dairy in it or not - a bit strange to not know the ingredients of any food served.

stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Biggest advantage is obviously the proximity to the city center. You just step outside of the hotel and are right next to Princess street. Very convenient.
The staff is nice and the rooms, as well as the hotel itself is very clean and beautiful.I´d recommend it anytime, excellent for a sightseeing trip.
