Description: Our newest and largest venture, Cafe Andaluz hopes to bring a little bit of Spain to George Street, Edinburgh. Sharing tapas is a great way to eat socially and we make our dishes fresh and as varied as possible. All our dishes are prepared using the best raw materials and are all prepared on the premises. Our wines are sourced solely from Spain and our Sangria is made from traditional recipes passed down through generations. Our staff will always be available to offer advice on menu choices and recommend some of their favourites.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Went here on a week night, the place was beautifully decorated and has a lovely warm atmosphere. We ate from the menu del dia which proved to be an ample mix of dishes for two people. Without exception these dishes were all delicious: fresh, tasty and well prepared. The potatas bravas packed a fiery chilli punch so be warned! It worked beautifully when contrasted with the creamy goats cheese though.

We will definitely return on our next trip.

“Good but seafood could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

been here a few times and its generally good, there was 4 of us dining, between us we had 13 tapas, 11 of them were good but the 2 seafood dishes were not so good, the scallops were watery, undercooked and disappointing. the mackerel smelled fishy and was clearly frozen fish, very soft and watery, i actually sent it back which is something i very rarely do. To be fair the waitress replaced it with another dish and didn't charge for either but the seafood really should have been better.

thankfully the rest of the food overshadowed the seafood

“Favourite restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

We have been visiting Cafe Andaluz on a regular basis since it opened. We never tire of coming here. It is always a friendly welcome. Their is always a great buzz and atmosphere.

The menu has remained the same, but there is a great choice. On our most recent visit, we chose 2 tapas each from the vegetarian, fish and meat categories. from the vegetarian we chose Patatas Gratinadas and Pimientos Padron, from the fish Calamares and Mejillones a la Marinera and the meat we had Paella Valenciana and Chorizo al Vino. All cooked to perfection and delicious. We also had the Selection of cheeses, an Irish coffee, and nice bottle of wine.

We'll be back !!
