Three American friends and I stayed with Caroline Scott at the Dean in November. The rooms are large, sunny, beautifully decorated and very, very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, croissants, cereals in addition to the more traditional and well prepared cooked items. What sets the Dean apart is Caroline. Her warmth and kind hearted enthusiasm for welcoming her guests was obvious from the moment we arrived. One of my friends fell ill with a bad chest cold and Caroline made sure that she had everything she needed - from hot soup to Lemsip! It was greatly appreciated. Caroline also went out of her way to ensure that we were able to visit historic locations, normally closed to the public at this time of year. We all had a wonderful stay and eagerly look forward to visiting again next year. Thank you for your hospitality, Caroline.
