Stayed here for 2 nights while attending the "retrofest". The food is absolutely great - we booked a dinner on first night deal and gald we did. The service was good and kind of informal - had a bit of a laugh with our server. Great feeling having just driven 3 hours from Aberdeen to sit down have a beer and some good food.

kilmarnock is not the most pleasing to the eye place in the world, but the hotel is very well fitted out and has a contemporary feel to it.

rooms are nice and spacious - similar in style to a contemporary Hilton or Marriott. Good clean rooms and a bit more space than the aforementioned standard rooms.

Parking was not a problem although the directions to the hotel could be a bit clearer - "down this road and round the corner is never easy to find.!!"

Both nights we were there there were weddings on - bu tthis did not make the hotel feel busy.

If you have the need to spend an overnight in Kilmarnock, this is the place to stay.

I have stayed in this Hotel three or four times in the last two years and I find it a very comfortable place to stay.

It is slightly out of the center of kilmarnock and as the weather is normally damp round here I would recommend a taxi.

The Hotel is very modern, clean and stylish and built in the car park of the Rugby Park, football stadium.

Check in is usually very fast and simple. The staff are friendly (young) and helpfull.
The bedrooms are on two floors of the building and they are large , spacious and clean.
I normally have a double which seems to be two smaller beds pushed together but I have never had any problems with that.

The bathrooms are good sized and clean and well stocked.

Sadly there is very little to do out here, except visit the restaurant, bar or pop across to the Stadium and use the fitness club or the bar there.

I found that breakfasts are fine - just the usual selections, but the food is never too hot. Sometimes I suspect the staff get a bit distracted during breakfast, clearing tables instead of watching their customers but that is a minor complaint.
When the Hotel is busy the breakfasts are buffet style and the food still isn't any hotter.

I ate twice in the restaurant (same place as breakfast) during my last two week stay and the food was fantastic, with the service being speedy and efficient and the staff very friendly. The early supper menu is great value at £9.95 for two courses.
I find the atmosphere in the restaurant a bit sterile and not very warm.

All in all, I do like the Park and as long as there is plenty to watch on tv in the evenings I am happy.

Stayed for one night with husband and 13 year old. We were in the area to visit Loudon Castle and this was a conveniently located hotel.

Our room was spacious and easily accommodated the three of us. Our daughter was provided with a Z-bed which was adequate for a short stay.

We ate in the Blues restaurant on the Saturday night. The food was of good quality and the prices were fair enough.

I noticed another reviewers comments about breakfast and it seems that the hotel has taken note. Coffee was served by the pot and the food was piping hot. In fact the breakfast plates were super hot and we had to adopt paper napkins to lift them. We thought the buffet breakfast offered a good choice.

Hotel is clean and well appointed. I'd stay again if I return to the area.

I stayed one night and booked via the "Late rooms" web site. When we arrived there was a function in the evening (an Elvis Presley night), the hotel was full and they did not have our reservation. They were honest enough to admit that it was their fault as they had not processed the reservation when it arrived but this was scant consolation. After about 30 minutes of discussion they came to the conclusion that they could find a room and we got admitted.
The room was quite spacious, pleasant and was freshly decorated - I think that the hotel is quite new and it is situated in part of the car park of Kilmarnock football ground. Judging by the small wardrobe without a door it looks like a short stay business hotel. It lacked facilities like air conditioning and a room safe but on the other hand it was relatively inexpensive. We ordered two newpapers which were not delivered the following morning although they did not seek to charge.
We actually went to the function (which was very good) and the meal and service were very good considering they were catering for about 100 people. The bar is open plan but quite pleasant with prices about par for the course. We did not try them but there was a selection of quite interesting looking tapas on offer.
The breakfast was poor. Despite being relatively early (before eight o'clock) the sausages were luke-warm and the bacon was colder than that. In short, it was a buffet which they could not maintain at an acceptable temperature. There wasn't a lot of choice of anything else and the coffee had to be ordered cup by cup - why not provide a pot?
The reception were nice the bar staff less pleasant and overall it was a decent hotel (but not 4 star in my view and in the light of my experience) with a few things to sort out. It is fairly well located for the centre of Kilmanock - a walk of about 15 minutes.

Rooms are incredibly spacious and very well presented. Reception staff are extremely helpful and the bar staff very patient at 3 am in the morning when some guests decide they still need a drink (not me!) !! We stayed on a B & B basis and we enjoyed very good food plus the snacks we had were very enjoyable. The only reason I have not rated this hotel as excellent is because it did not have air conditioning and the hotel bedroom and reception rooms were very warm. However, I requested a fan almost as soon as I arrived in the room and it was delivered to the room in minutes - very impressive service. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
