“Something different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

A very pleasant dining experience, the food was delicious and the service attentive, the only downside was the spirit measure 25 mls and the high cost of mixers.
Why is it that restaurants feel it necessary to overcharge for drinks and spoil an nice evening??

“Service good but food not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Group of us visited here for a work night out. Bit of a mixed bag to be honest. Starters lovely but the mains weren't great. Those that had chicken seemed to fair better to those who had opted for lamb. I'd gone with a lamb dish, the meat was overdone, very tough and dry. Naans were lovely. Service was good but unfortunately didn't make up for the food. Wouldn't return in a hurry.

“Brilliant as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

I took a group of friends here as it is one of my favourite restaurants in Dundee, and they had never been before.

Happy to say you have a new set of converts!

Between us we enjoyed the pickle tray, poppadoms, mixed starter, onion bhajis, veg pakora, lamb and chicken biriyanis, veg main dishes, lamb rogan josh, chilli naan and veg paratha. All dishes were presented well and were very tasty.

We love the little selection of dips that come with the starters!

Only thing to comment on was portions so big we had to take leftovers home :P

Staff are friendly and polite and make you feel welcome, unlike some restaurants!

Will most definitely return. I urge anyone who hasn't tried here yet to GO!!

“Great Peshwari Nan !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Spent a pleasant evening here with my partner. The restaurant was very busy and we were made to feel welcome on arrival. The waiters on the whole were attentive and efficient. One was surly.
There was a good choice of food, my partner loved his pakora starter and the red house wine was delicious. I opted for my favourite Tikka Masala and was pleased to be asked how spicy I preferred the dish. A nice touch ! The food was well presented

As with this type of food it's normal to perspire but the heat was overwhelming - some air con would be most welcome. I was seated with my back to the wall covered in a thick plush material. Next time I would prefer a window seat .
In comparison to other similar establishments the prices were on the high side.
