A lovely place with great views over the river Tay. There is a fair selection of cheaper grub meals (such as burgers or fish and chips) as well as ‘posh’ choices. Everything was nicely cooked. Our favourite was the pheasant starter. The pudding of rhubarb crumble with goat cheese was a risk too far, as the taste was really awkward, but people have different tastes. So we liked it overall. Maybe only two criticisms; the waitresses were not very knowledgeable, saying that they just started and do not know what things on the menu are. Well, given that the chef likes to use French and other foreign words, it would be good if the waitresses knew what these words mean. Secondly, the hake main course came just with veg but no potatoes or other side. That was disappointing.
