Stayed here for a wedding.
The room was nice, bit small, bathroom was ok. On first glance it was all decorated well, but then you notice things like, paper not quite stuck down, paintwork not done properly, carpet was abit grubby.
Housekeeping needed a nudge...bedhead was very dusty as were other areas in the room.
Bathroom tiles needed a wipe down, could still see soap marks from previous guest and bathroom mirror was soap marked, complimentary toiletries were standard, but some were half used and not replenished.
The bar/restaurant was'nt overly inviting, dark and reminded me of a dingy pub.
The food was ok,(home-cooking rather than Chef prepared, if you know what I mean!) but meals were not organised everyone got their meal haphazard, veg and potatoes were brought out
after most people had eaten.
Breakfast in our room was delivered on time, but luke warm, toast white, ordered brown, tea not coffee.
Check-out was smooth.
Best part about the hotel was the Duty Manager, who I think was called Kevin(?) He was SUPER!!! friendly, chatty, interested in everyone.
The hotel is rated 3 stars and cost £100 a night. I think it is a little pricey for what it is, not sure about the 3 star rating.
Maybe I'm being overly critical, but I do stay in lots of different hotels, expensive and not so expensive and this one sadly failed to leave a lasting impression.
