“Mountain biking weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

We have just spent a fantastic weekend in the Glentress and Innerliethen trail centres. craiguart is situated just yards from the entrance to Glentress and is a perfect location for a weekend on the trails. As others have already said the rooms at Craiguart are large and modern with wonderful views over the tweed valley the bathroom in our room (room) was very large.
Our breakfast was delicious if you are up for it the full Scottish is ten items and with cereal and fruit juice coffee tea and toast you will not go hungry.
We will definitely return to the trails at Glentress and the Craiguart B&B

We stayed for 2 nights in August and were surprised at how nice this place really was (the pictures do not do this B and B justice) Very clean and comfortable spacious room with a big bed. All 3 rooms have a patio door leading into the garden with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The hosts are very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
Nice breakfast with plenty to choose from and very tasty.
Great place for mountain bikers as you can lock your bike up in the garage and only half a mile away from Glentress cycle trails.
We would recommend this B and B and would return when we visit peebles again.

We stayed for two nights and were firstly impressed with Alasdair's welcome, showing us around and providing a tray of drinks on arrival.

The room was beautiful, with a modern, clean bathroom, huge bed, walk in closet, and amazing views at the back. Each room has a patio door opening out to a decked area looking over fields and hills.

The choice and quality of breakfast was as good as in any top hotel. The full Scottish breakfast will set you up for the day!!

I am a keen mountain biker but didn't have my bike or kit with me. I'm conscious that lots of reviews are from mud loving bikers like me, but this is not just a bikers place! Any demographic of tourist would live Craiguart and I certainly plan to return. Next time with my bike!

Perfect for our one night stop. Excellent views from the window, with wonderful facilities and everything clean & tidy. TV in room, plus a lounge if we wanted to use it. Fantastic choice for breakfast. Very attentive host from our arrival to our departure. Would highly recommend Craiguart and hope to revisit one day. Little touches like being able to open the patio doors for air and still be secure, plus use of a BBQ and outside space set it apart from the average B & B.

Turned up with four muddy teenagers after a wet day at Glentress - Alasdair provided us with a hose pipe to clean the bikes and the teenagers, Pauline stuck all our muddy kit in the wash. Next morning we had clean dry kit and a fabulous breakfast
I cannot recommend this place too highly

Very nice accommodation, friendly people, epic breakfast. Excellent value for money, walking distance to the Glentress Hotel which is good for food. Short bus ride into town. A couple of minutes ride to the Glentress trails!

Room Tip: All good rooms.

I come to this area a couple of times a year for mountain biking and try to stay here if it's not already full. It is a lovely small family run B&B, with 3 double/twin rooms each with their own patio doors opening onto the hills behind. The rooms are spotlessly clean with biscuits included on the tea tray (always welcome after a day's biking!). The shower is modern and powerful. Breakfast was a delight: a broad choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice and cooked options. Vegetarians are well catered for with lots of options to enjoy a full-scottish veggie breakfast.

For mountain bikers, there is also a garage storage area. I have a portable bike wash, and the owner was happy for me to use their tap to refil this.

I highly recommend this lovely accommodation and look forward to staying again.
