“A wonderful experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

The best B and B we have ever stayed in, and we have travelled a lot. The suite had everything you could wish for and the decor was beautiful. Maggie couldn't have done enough for us and it felt like a home from home. Breakfast was excellent we would definitely stay here again!
We were doing the Border Abbeys Way walk and Maggie even made sure we had dry socks for the next day!

This is not the first time we have stayed here. Absolutely first class! Your own suite, your own dining area, so comfortable, fabulous hosts and a great breakfast to set you up for the day! This place takes Bed and Breakfast facilities to a new level. Maggie and Dave are perfect hosts and make you feel really at home. The setting of Lynnwood Cottage is so quiet and peaceful and you can come and go without disturbing the other guests. We would definately recommend this particular Bed and Breakfast and intend to return again in the very near future. Can't think why a particular couple would give a bad comment about Lynnwood Cottage. Very unfair.

Room Tip: There are two suites. One with a shower and one with a shower over the bath. We prefer the slightly...

having read views about this acc.we were wondering what this couple were complaining about as both of us have been to this b/b and can assure that any guests are sure of the most attentive and welcoming stay.the rooms at lynnwood were first class and every detail for comfort has not been missed.maggie is a very particular person and that can be seen by their home.so dont let that negative review mislead you, read the others and see what they all say and you wont be dissapointed!!!. happy travellers.x

Room Tip: any room you choose will not dissapoint.

My team mates and I were lucky enough to stay in this fantastic B&B in November! We were touring Scotland and had been staying in lots of B&B's, we expected a clean bed and a hot bath but this place is something else!! It appears that the rooms have all been done up since the photos were taken and I would urge Maggie to upload some new ones because its fantastic.
I had the downstairs area with one of my team-mates and it was beautifully decorated. The bathroom had a giant spa bath, and we had a lounge area and a huge big bedroom. We also had a room upstairs which was impeccable and another lounge area to sit in. It is spotlessly tidy and the beds are really cosy. They have a fantastic breakfast menu with lots of choices, and they are happy to work around you, as we were working in schools it ment leaving very early, and they were only happy to feed us earlier.

The hosts were so welcoming, and having been on the road for 4 weeks it was just what we needed! Greated with a big hug and a cup of tea as if we were family! Id love to stay here again and the company have no reservations to book it if they have a team in Hawick again.
Thank you once again for a lovely stay x

Room Tip: Both rooms we had were fantastic. The downstairs was perfect for two, but the three of us sat in our...

I booked in here for a night in a bit of desperation – I couldn’t find anywhere closer to Edinburgh for a reasonable price! As rash decisions go it was a great one. It was a lovely little B&B with some of the nicest owners I met on a three month holiday. You could tell they ran a B&B because they really enjoyed it – not to make a huge profit. When I asked what you could do in Hawick when you end up there rather unexpectedly they went to the trouble of digging out the local movie times as well as telling me about every local tourist attraction and eatery possible.

The room was light and airy with a very comfortable bed. I also had a huge lounge (with an enormous TV and free wifi) for personal use. The room had every single complementary thing you ever find in a hotel/B&B – there was even a tiny little sewing kit. The breakfast was delicious and very large! The B and B was a bit out of town but very walkable - I caught a Taxi when I had a case and it was less than ten A$ (four or five pounds from memory).

We spent a few days at Lynwood for our wedding anniversary and it was perfect . It had all the little touches you do not normally get ,ie lots of large fluffy towels ,cosy bath robes ,toiletries ,tissues ,all hair styling needs . I don't think Maggie and Dave could do any more to improve it . Good choice of breakfast ,well cooked . tea and coffee tray plus chocs and biscuits . Maggie and Dave are a very warm friendly couple and make you feel relaxed and comfortable .
Will return in the near future ,maybe next time it will be warmer then we can sit on the patio .
