Very nice B & B overlooking the Bay on the esplanade. Owner very corgial and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Rooms on the small side but very clean. Shower on the small side.. Very excellent sea side resaurant just down the esplanade.

This is a lovely B&B located right on the waterfront, a short walk from the heart of town. We had two rooms; a twin room for two teens and a double room for the parents. I was grateful to get a room in Oban, since booking for a single night proved to be difficult, many B&Bs required a two night minimum. The hosts were very welcoming and we felt right at home. The breakfast was fresh, hot, and complete. The twin room was lovely and had a large bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. The double room was not a front-facing room, and it was pretty small and tight. It did have its own bath, which was also extremely small and hard to use because there was no place to put personal items. However, the room and bath were spotless, beautifully furnished and quiet. We felt that the price was a good value for the rooms we had. We would gladly stay there again, although next time we would hope for a larger, sea-facing room.

This place has a lovely view out over the esplanade, a nice walk into
the town itself. Owner is very friendly, the only problem I had (and some might not find this a problem) was getting the attention of the owners. A buzzer would have been great because there were two occasions when we needed someones attention. nice place though...

I have stayed at the Alltavona several times, and having sampled several other hotels and guest houses in the area, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Oban. A fabulous Victorian guest house, so close to the seafront that you can look out of your bedroom window and see seals! Carol, the host, is always most welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Great full scottish breakfast , and superbly decorated rooms, with fabulous views over to Kerrera and Mull. The house is located a five minute walk from all Oban's attractions, and the walk along the Corran Esplanade in the morning sets you up for the day! At night you can look out the window of your bedroom and watch the fishing boats and ferries going out, and the lighthouses winking over the bay. A unique place.
