If you're in Oban and looking for traditional Fish n'Chips, look no further than Nories. I was in Oban on Saturday 14th and happened to come upon this place. I was met with smiles from 2 courteous young girls serving and a chatty happy fryer running the show ! Inside, the restaurant / fish n chip shop is extremely clean with a well presented menu and reasonably priced. Outside, it has a crisp attractive feel to it with its distinctive royal blue façade. Now for the important bit. I live in Stonehaven which at the moment has the accolade of having the best chipper in the UK (as voted) and a wonderful job they do too ! However, I have never had a juicier, thicker piece of battered Haddock in my life !... and the chips were excellent too. The sun was shining and I was fortunate enough to grab one of the seats outside too. It was delicious and excellent value for money. Everyone dining inside brought a nice atmosphere to the place. A massive thumbs up. Well done to all that run Nories !!
