We had no idea what a delightful place Oban is until we arrived there. It is a lovely seaside town with quite a large shopping area and some great restaurants. Our stay at Dunheanish was lovely. We deliberately booked the room on the top floor which has a king size four poster bed. This room far exceeded our expectations and was worth the extra cost. It is an extremely large, beautifully furnished room with large bay windows looking out over the bay area. The only drawback is that Dunheanish is very high on a hill overlooking the town, and even though you get great views it is quite steep walking up and down, so you need to be quite fit! It is also very central to shops and restaurants. Our host was very pleasant and the "Scottish" breakfast was good. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Dunheanish if you visit Oban.

We stayed one night in this beautiful B&B. The host was very friendly and helpful with some of our travel plans for going to Iona. Our room was large, with high ceilings and a huge four poster bed. We were leaving before breakfast was to be served the next morning so William, our host, offered to either reduce our bill our set out a cooler with yogurt and milk for us to serve ourselves the next morning. We chose the later and were quite satisfied with the array of cold cereals and fruit left out for us.

The location is on the steep hill overlooking Oban but you can walk into town on the pedestrian path that is only one street over from the B& B.

We were one guests only a few month after William opened up his B&B up on the hill in Oban. As Oban is badly busy in the summer with a noisy road along the harbor.
Dunheanish was the best choice to stay: it is completely quiet up there! You can take your car up there and park from the house, but we didnt mind the walk, which if you are not used to it, can take you out of low on breath.

We had the luck to get room @4 the best in the whole house, and yes it is worth it. the views are breathtaking, you have the whole panorama - ocean and Isle of Kerrerea. The bed is very comfortable. Williams hostpitality and friendliness was just fantastic. We didnt want to leave at the end.

A great restaurant was the Italian one at the harbor, or the Indian at the end of town. Make sure you visit Kerrera!

This is a great location if you enjoy walking. The house lies uphill from the center of the shopping/restaurant streets and waterfront. A really easy walk, especially downhill. Ha! It's a nice stroll either way.

We had a lovely room, #1 with beautiful views. Very comfy, big bed to accomodate my 6'6" husband. Also it was so nice and quiet after a week in Edinburgh.

Nice, clean, bright, modern, small bathroom (love the towel warmers) with lots of hot water and shower big enough for husband. Remember these are European showers...

Breakfast was whatever you wanted from William. We had eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, bacon, etc. The dining room has gorgeous views as well and there is a lovely garden for a bottle of wine if it's not snowing while you are there.

They take cash only as of our visit. William is very friendly and helpful. He'll help you with your bags up the hill. He has on site parking or you can find some on the street. There are umbrellas if you forgot yours.

The residential feel of the neighborhood is lovely, and it was fun to walk around the streets and see the charming homes and gardens.

William directed us to some great dining within walking distance and a glorious road trip. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We have just returned from a three night stay at this beautiful guest house. The accomodation is delightful, it is tastefully decorated and furnished, clean and welcoming.
The owner, William, was friendly and accomodating.
The location offers guests a fabulous view of the bay and islands beyond.
