A really beautiful hotel. One night was not enough-the meal was wonderful, room very comfortable and the view over the Loch was fantastic. Our evening meal was one of the best we experienced during out two week tour of Scotland, and the breakfast was great.
The owners were very welcoming and the hotel is very well maintained.
All in all, a great experience.

Our stay can only be described as perfect, the staff, the hotel, the room and the food. Our 3 course dinner was the best meal we had had in quite a while.
We look forward to our next visit and thank the owners for a wonderful stay

We have just spent a perfect week at Fernpoint Hotel and are pleased to give the Hotel and all those involved our unreserved thanks and recommendations. Inveraray is an ideal location to explore and enjoy a delightful part of Scotland. Although we were there for a full week we still have much left to see and enjoy. We will certainly be going back to Fernpoint.
The hotel is in a delightful location 'round by the pier' and has a range of rooms to choose from. We chose room 4 from the information on the website and a follow up telephone call to Rob. For us room 4 was perfect, spacious, airy with windows overlooking the Loch, the gardens and the pier. We enjoyed it immensely. There are other more luxurious rooms and smaller rooms. The choice is yours and the details are on the website.
Whichever room you choose the rest of the hotel is the same for all and it's lovely. The building is full of character and history and the breakfast room, bar and restaurant have been designed in keeping. The high standard is obviously the result of a lot of careful thought and effort.
Rob and Jean worked tirelessly and efficiently to ensure a friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. They and all the staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. We were always made welcome and comfortable. The hotel and rooms are kept spotlessly clean and great attention is paid to detail.
The Food! Starting with breakfast, if like me porridge and kippers are your temptation look no further. They are 10/10!!! There are also other traditional choices on the menu.
The restaurant has an excellent menu which includes speciality fish dishes and a variety of meat dishes. All are skilfully prepared and beautifully presented. This is another reason for extending your stay, it gives you more opportunity to work through the menu!
Many thanks to Rob and Jean and staff.

“Loved our Anniversary stay @ the Fernpoint Hotel”

Fernpoint Hotel

Jun 8, 2008

My Wife & I have just arrived home from a weekend stay at the Fernpoint Hotel in Inverary, for our 18th wedding anniversary...

The Owners & staff are very friendly & accomodating & the food is fantastic (possibly the best we have ever experienced)...

We stayed in room 8 which has a lovely Jacuzzi & views out over Loch Fynne (great shower)...

I think we got good value for money (£260 for two nights B&B) & will
definately be booking up again (just need another anniversary, birthday etc to give us the excuse)...
