“Overnight Spa Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Easily found as we drove into Inveraray (Sat Nav had us going to a caravan park on the way in!).
Welcome was efficient and check-in painless. We booked a 1 night "couples" stay with Dinner, Bed & Breakfast AND inclusive of a Spa treatment for each of us for an incredible £150.
Our room was small at the rear of the hotel, with a tiny bathroom and although in reasonable repair was a little tired. Only a standard double bed - what was booked - and standard in room contemporary furnishings.
Dinner menu was 6 course sampler menu individually priced at around £32 per person, well overpriced for the selection and standard of food presented. So paid the extra for an al a carte choice of main course.
Spa treatments were 30 minute standard duration and to be included in the price great value, as around £30ea if we had booked them outside the deal rate.
A convenient stopover on our way from Arran to Oban.

My friend and I have just returned from the Loch Fyne Hotel on their 2-day Rejuvenation Package. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Everything from the staff, food and spa facilities was excellent. A special mention has to go to Gemma the Spa Therapist whose treatments were excellent. We have returned very relaxed and cannot wait to return. Keep up the good work.

Nine of us went to stay for the weekend at loch Fyne spa hotel. We used pool and hot tub everything very clean. Dinner was excellent and the staff where more than helpful
Breakfast in the morning was served to the table which is rare in hotels now. Everything cooked fresh
Rooms where comfortable and again anything you needed they where at hand to help
There was a great feel good atmosphere with all the guests obviously enjoying the relaxed experience
This is now my second visit and hopefully soon again we will manage another stay

My friend and I decided to have a couple of days away and picked this hotel by its reputation.

The hotel is just along from the main street in Inverary about 10 to15 minutes walk for a couple of "mature ladies". Unfortunately, it rained non stop while we were there and as Inverary does not have a taxi company and only 4 buses a day we were soaked whenever we went outside.
We definitely needed a car to get around and recommend this to ensure you make the most of your stay.

Our rooms were "tired" but had all the facilities required for our stay. There is no lift in the hotel and it means dragging your luggage up a stair case if allocated an upper room. The hotel however did offer to help with porterage if required.

We did not have time to make use of the spa facilities so cannot comment on this.

On the plus side the food in the hotel was superb and probably the highlight of our stay.

Room Tip: Request a room on the ground floor.

Have just spent a weekend at the Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa and enjoyed it immensly. the only one complaint was that apparently the menu is written at head office so does nnot take into account local events. I asked for Rib Eye Steak but none had been delivered that day but they had not changed the menu. The T Bone was a satisfactory substitute
Will definitely be back

Stayed on a 1 night 5pm deal, great value at £85 (sun to thurs) including 6 course 'taster' menu and breakfast. Room (218) ok, zip and link bed, chipped furniture, but generally clean. Bathroom was a bit grubby, mould on the ceiling etc but otherwise clean. Seem to have pared back to the bare minimum, shower gel, soap and shampoo the only toiletries, and 4 sticks of coffee and 4 teabags...no hot chocolate, demerara sugar, and 1 pack of 2 tiny bits of shortbread. Not even a box of tissues ion the room, let alone sewing kit/shower cap/disposable slippers.... And the view....nice car park and lots of industrial sized waste bins..... Used the pool and sauna/steam room. Nice, but if you wanted the use of a robe it was an additional £10..non refundable. Ok, but where's the info on Crerar Hotels website? The absolute worst - for me- was the changing room. Very small, and no private cubicles! Went down wearing swimsuit under clothes so ok. But when we were finished i went into the changing room to be met by some teenage girls, barely covered, boobs hanging out and texting on their phones! Another girl came out of one of the two showers (again, glass doors and no privacy) totally naked and carrying her towel! Am not a prude, but i cant compete with a lass 35 years my junior.., i felt quite inadequate and incredibly flabby! So i quickly nipped into the disabled changing room down the corridor! It was either that or wrap a towel round me and drip all the way back to my room! Food was nice, but only one veggie option on the tasting menu, butternut squash risotto....which i had and it was nice, very creamy. Was a bit shocked at the bar prices...£4.50 for a small bottle of cider, £3.50 for still water, £9.95 for every cocktail....Breakfast, according to the menu...if you weren't on an' included in your room' rate...was £17.50!! Wine however was very reasonable at £15.95 for our particular bottle.

All in, pleasant break for what we paid....but reception advertised a room tariff of £195 for a double room......?????? Not a chance. Staff generally lovely, helpful and polite. However, receptionist didn't engage with us at all, not even to ask if we enjoyed our stay when we checked out....surely polite to ask?

We had a groupon deal. The hotel ,Bedroom with a four poster bed, evening dinner and breakfast was absolutely fantastic, DVD player and DVD'S were provided if you just wanted a quiet stay. (WE DID) The staff especially Marc the manager couldn't of made us feel any more comfortable and welcome and do enough for us if they had of tried. We just wanted a lazy and quiet weekend away. We had an amazing stay and will be back, Thanks again Marc
