We visited the Castle last year and had a great time. No cameras are allowed inside but the rooms have a lot of history and great layouts. There is a small gift shop with nice items in the basement and bathrooms are available outside. While we were there, my husband and I got to meet the Duke of Argyll who was working in the gift shop. I heard him say to a guest that he likes to help out because they see this as their home and not a museum or tour site which is nice. His wife was setting up a game (croquet maybe?) with her kids outside so we didn't bother her. The gardens in the back were absolutely beautiful as we went in the June part of the year. We visited as part of a shore excursion with our cruise so I'm not sure if there is a fee but it was nice to visit.
