“Worth stopping by”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

I wasn't sure if it was a good place to stop, but as the previous reviewer said, it wasn't a tourist trap, it was really good !! Nice design, nice view, food was tasty and well presented on the plate. I had fish cakes which were tender, delicious, served with generous salad and nicely but not over seasoned. My partner's soup was fresh, tasty and served with a panini. Desert was just beautiful !! We got an apple crumble with ice cream -- highly recommended, delicious !!

“Surprisingly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The cafe has a very good view of Castle Stalker and I thought this would make it just a pure tourist trap and not very good, but I was surprised. It was a bit on the expensive side but I ordered a mozzarella and chicken panini and an Irn Bru and they came out quickly and turned out super good. The souvenir shop is also super cute and has some unique things, so I'd definitely recommend it.

“Disappointed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Stopped here recently and tried to order a vegetable panini! Nothing on the menu so asked
If iI could have mozzarella, tomato and chilli sauce as I was veggie! However I was told they didn't have a separate grill but she could do me a toasted using the gluten free toasted. I agreed and Sat down and after a wee while another member of staff told me that they couldn't do that and I had to have the toaster done on the same grill used for meat. Surely in this day and age they should be catering for vegetarians as well as other food preferences and allergies. Surely they could use a greaseproof bag or similar to stop contamination. Quite disappointing because have liked the cafe previously. When the food came however it was good!
