Lovely place to visit in Angus. The tour of Glamis Castle is very interesting and informative, especially the strong connection to the Queen Mother. There is so much history in this castle, and it's believed a lot of rooms still haven't been discovered! The gardens are also tremendous to walk around- a vast range of trees, plants, and shrubs. On a nice day, there are few nicer places to enjoy a picnic. There is a good gift shop and a café as well, which did disappoint me slightly.

Overall, a fairly expensive tour, but an excellent insight into the Royal family and the history of the area.

What a lovely location for a Christmas Market. There was quite a few stalls and lots of places to have your hot chocolate and marshmallows - obligatory at these events. I expected more stalls if I'm honest but it was a great day out. I personally loved the St Bernards that were there, they were soooo cute.

Such an imposing castle when you drive into the estate! It's a very impressive family home and you see a number of rooms within the castle, several that are still used by the family! Our young charming guide was most interesting and extremely passionate about the family and their history. Fantastic seeing The Queen Mothers quarters and personal knick-knacks. I would love to hold dinner party in the dining room, it's stunning! The small museum at the end of the tour was interesting and I enjoyed looking at all the royal invitations, letters and pictures. The coffee shop is nice after the tour but a little pricy but it's to be expected - the millionaires shortbread was amazing!
