“Simply excellent”

The food here was gorgeous and the service excellent. The staff were very friendly. Shame about the wait for a booked table it is clearly a popular place.

“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Not for the first time now we enjoyed the superb value tea time special. £10 for 3 courses...crispy veg Pakora to start served with salad & 3 sauces...tasty! Then creamy chicken tikka masala for main (I have had bhuna before which is also excellent & my partner loves the Madras). Then ice cream to finish (or gateau if you prefer) We also had garlic naan...yummy! Excellent food at an excellent price!

“Best curry in ages!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

This place was recommended to us by friends and they weren't wrong. At £14.95 for a set meal to takeaway for 2 which actually fed 3 this was amazing value. Large portions with lots of chicken and thick creamy sauce it really hit the spot. We will definitely use this Indian when we are in the area again.

“top notch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Great curry house for sit in or take away. Tastes like a posh Indian restaurant but prices are keen. Lovely home made feel to the dishes. Use lots of good fresh seasonal veg in vegetarian dishes.

“"wow" delicious........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Anne-Marie and Caroline ate here the night my daughter moved up to Carnoustie from Essex.A Great Indian restaurant in a nice spacious period building, nice ambiance, friendly waiter. We ate here on a Tuesday evening at 8pm but you can eat between 5 & 7 for £10.
Caroline ordered a tandoori mixed starter and Anne-Marie ordered chicken pakora
,well presented, meat tender, good blend of spices, delicious, could easily share as large portions. Both main courses excellent and my daughter requested the chef add green chillies to her Korma !!!!!! That he did and the waiter even came to check as the chef thought it strange!!!! I prefer hotter curry so I ordered a chef special, side dishes and Nan bread equally delicious.Well worth a trip from Essex to visit both my daughter and Ganges again soon.ENJOY....... Caroline x
