Harbour Nights Guest House

May 4, 2008

We booked a nights stay in March 2008,when we arrived we
noticed a sign at the front door which read if no reply please
ring this number,we rang the bell twice, suddenly the door opened and this irate gent started screaming at us "I heard it the first time" he then went back in offering no help up the stairs with our luggage,I said to my wife "this is going to be a pleasant trip" He heard this comment
and pointed to the door saying "if you don't like it" We thought
his behaviour was akin to a night club bouncer.

They arrived with an attitude, finger stuck to the door bell, I am sorry it took all of 10 seconds to reach the front door. As far as I am concerned we only welcome nice people here not impatient moaners who it seems was expecting someone to carry their luggage from the street into the house which is only 2 steps, they appeared healthy and able, obviously expected to be treated like Royalty, which incidentally once inside the Guest House they would have been, as all the previous reviews have testified. When someone enters you house moaning and mumbling, it is best to cut and run and not offer them the best hospitality and accommodation around. I do hope that wherever they stayed that night that they arrived there with a better attitude than the one they arrived here with……their loss.

Wonderful rooms, very individual! Excellent breakfast and nice and helpful owners: the tip for dinner was great.

“Wonderful B&B”

Harbour Nights Guest House

Dec 31, 2007

This is a lovely B&B with a beautiful view over the harbor. The husband and wife proprietors are friendly and make evey effort o accommodate their guests. The establishment is clean and well cared for and within walking distance of restaurants and the town center. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and to return ourselves. Springfield, NJ

I actually was visiting a friend in Arbroath and needed a place to stay. After reading some of the reviews previously to my visit, this was the only place I considered. I originally booked the cheapest room (a room with 2 beds) but fate was with me. 2 guests checked in need of a room with 2 bed so I got upgrade to one of the king suite with ensuite shower (it was on the 2nd floor with a window view of the harbour. Slept like a baby on that huge bed (of course, it rained during that night which puts me out like a light!) and if figure the 'electric' shower on my own. The host was great and breakfast was wonderfully filling with to start the day. Stay 2 nights at the Harbour Nights Guest House.

A delightful B&B - our room had a view over the harbour and you can watch the sun come up on the horizon from your bed. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. Fab breakfast choice, including Arbroath Smokies, from the fishmonger 100 yards away. Only drawback for our room was sharing a shower room but the overall personal touches/decor outweighed that.
