This place has fallen in and out of favour with us over the years but basically we go for the crepes.
It can be noisy and you can come out stinking of vegetable grease and the coffee isn't that tasty but this place is part of Aberdeen now; an aberdeen insitiution and if it went it would leave a hole. I love the changing art, the fact there is shelves with games and books. I don't like ...the sometimes stingy fillings, the staff can be a little surly/sarcastic and just plain bad at their job (customer service in case they are wondering what I mean). Well who wants upbeat american style service all the time - we are in scotland after all so we go happily knowing that anyway. There are high chairs and it is baby friendly but not toddler or child friendly unless your child is able to sit at a table. There is no room for wandering children and no box of toys. More suitable for a child is old enough to play chess etc or who can bring a games console. The toilets are nice and clean. I love the building and the stairs leading up to it with all the posters and flyers. If you want yo know what bands are coming to aberdeen just visit the stairs to Kilau.
