“Acceptable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We had a night stay here during our tou of the UK and found it acceptable but not somewhere we'd return to.
We stayed at Self catering premises throughout Scotland and England and this one was at the lower end of the scale in our view.
Despite double glazing, it was noisy and parking is a real problem. The car stayed out in the streetwhich we are not comfortable with.
The unit was clean, but offered less than others we experienced.
Also, being at the wharf the surrounding area is untidy and certainly not a scenicoutlook.

Brilliantly located, these serviced apartments offer something a bit different to a normal hotel room. Each apartment has a kitchen complete with fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, pots, pans, knives, forks, plates and bowls. Also a living area complete with TV, dvd player, hi-fi and wi-fi.

The property is clean and comfy and well-maintained. A maid will tidy the apartment daily and replenish the fridge with bread, milk and eggs for breakfast. Orange juice, cereal, jams, tea & coffee and sugar are also provided along with a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.

Checking-in could not be easier, simply enter the code that is texted to you on the day of arrival to get into the building. A second code gains access to the apartment.

We stayed in the cottage at the rear which had its own garden. The staff were friendly and always happy to help. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

We were lodged in a 'downstairs' apartment in Springbank Terrace. Nicely decorated and furnished. Breakfast is delivered the day before plus you get a free bottle of (actually pretty nice) wine. Parking space available for free.

Was great to stay there with the family.
Furniture is Ikea and might not last long (one of the wooden planks under the mattress did not stay properly in place) but that is only a minor inconvenience.

This is probably the 7th or eighth time I have stayed in City Wharf apartments. Each tiome a different apartment and each time a pleasant stay. The focus on simple things are great, ie breakfast box milk eggs butter sachets etc complimentary bottle of wine are such little things but make so much of a difference as I have stayed in other apartments and they have nothing. When arriving in late you just want a cup of tea and everything you need is there.
On the apartment fron they are spacious comfortable with all modern amenities free Wifi large LCD TV DVD player great easy heating controls and that lounger in front of the TV I have fallen asleep in so many times watching a movie.
Keep up the good work. Why stay in a hotel

Room Tip: Park your car in NCP next to IBIS hotel parking wardens are ferocious around the area.

Excellent weekend stay, we were booked into an apartment at 19 - 21 regent quay but were upgraded to The large Cottage with garden. Highly recommend staying here, quiet and with easy walking distance to shopping centre, train/bus station, restaurants and pubs.

We thought this was great value. They provided everything we needed and gave good advice as to where to eat.

We were delighted with the standard of the accommodation having travelled several hours to get there. This was a family get together for our sons graduation and we were able to get a takeaway and all sit round a good sized dining table & spend a relaxing evening together. All the little touches made such a difference. Bottle of wine, bread, rolls, croissants, jams, butter, milk, eggs OJ and generous amount of tea, coffee and sugar - not just a few little sachets!
Decor was lovely - bathroom & kitchen spacious and really well fitted. Beds were comfortable & they provided a camp bed so our teen kids didn't share a bed.
We took off in a rush on the first morning to attend the graduation ceremony expecting to clear up on our return only to find the place all sorted and the dishwasher running - all the above mentioned provisions replenished. That was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise!
Just fantastic on all counts and very reasonable as well.

Room Tip: Off road parking is provided. Did everything the web site said.
