“good quality hotel in City centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, the reception staff were very friendly, and were available to help with any questions we had. The room was clean and very warm. It was also well stocked with teas and coffees. It is a short walk from shops and restaurants which is handy.
We did not eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. We used the hotel carpark, which is great if you do have a car and you do not wish to pay alot for parking.
Breakfast was the only thing that brought the hotel down. The staff didn't appear to be interested in making sure guests were happy.

Really welcoming family run hotel near centre of Aberdeen. Rooms very clean, well furnished (modern furniture), staff very friendly and helpful; very good breakfast; en-suite very spacious and well-appointed; would definitely use again.

This is a hotel that is welcoming, helpful and has good rooms. The rooms could be a little bigger and it would be good to have a shower rather than a dribble but generally a hotel that is doing its best with what it has.

Seagull noise can be an issue and picking a room that does not have a window opening onto the late night smokers courtyard is probably advisable.

Upside was the very fast wireless internet.

Room Tip: Avoid a window opening onto the Smoker courtyard.

Fine hotel, very close to the train and bus station and also handy for the town centre. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly and a very enjoyable breakfast. The room was very quiet with no outside noise whatsoever and the bed was comfy. The shower pressure in my room was very low though which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.
I paid £45 including breakfast for one night which , I think, is very reasonable.

An excellent hotel extremely well situated for the city centre and outstanding in terms of service, cleanliness and value. Food is very good; bar is spacious and comfortable; rooms are decent in size (not huge) but nicely furnished with contemporary furniture and have very comfortable beds.
Will be our first choice when we visit Aberdeen again!

This is a central hotel in a heritage listed part of Aberdeen and is in a great location. Staff excellent and the evening meal, cheerfully served in either restaurant or bar. Due to the fact that it is heritage listed are no lifts, the rooms are modest sized and the building can be a bit hard to find your way around if you are travelling with others and your rooms are not side by side. Very small car park - fine for small cars.

My colleague and I stayed here recently on business in Aberdeen for 2 nights.
Warm welcome from the young girl at the reception. Helpful advice on booking a cab we had initially worked out that 15 minutes should be suffice, she advised to give at least 40 minutes to get to our destination in the morning due to heavy traffic.
The rooms were spacious and had a nice homely, cosy feel. Bathrooms need modernised in the near future.
Bar was good with friendly staff and great selection of ales and spirits.
Full cooked breakfast in the mornings were brilliant.
One negative point; When checking out the woman working had a hostile attitude and muttered under her breath about a colleague. The next person came and checked out to be greeted on first name terms and shared a joke. Thankfully, our experience with all other staff in the hotel was first class. Why I have given 4/5 rather than 5/5!!!

We sat in the lounge area in reception until our cab arrived , there was an older woman cleaning, whom I feel deserves a mention. Great sense of humour!
