I have stayed at this hotel twice.

Plus points - very clean, helpful staff, good breakfasts
Bad points - location, location location.

I cannot fault the rooms, or the staff however the last time I was there some local neds (feel free task if you don't know) were partying in the housing estate at the back of the hotel. Car stereos blaring out until the wee small hours.
Next morning a large delivery lorry rolled up before 7 am to start delivering stuff to the adjacent shopping centre.
Not the hotel's fault but I don't like my sleep being that disturbed.

It is a pretty dodgy area and you wouldn't want to go out for an evening stroll on your own. There is a bus stop across the main road which will allow you to go into town cheaply and the bus stops almost outside the front door on the way back.
Car park at the rear, shared with the shopping centre, although I left my car there I didn't feel all that comfortable about it, however it was fine.

The rooms are nice, very clean. I think I was in a suite as it had a microwave and a kitchen sink.

I recently stayed in this hotel whilst on business in Aberdeen. Everything about it was mediocre.
The location is handy for the airport but overall it leaves a lot to be desired....right on a busy main road in the middle of a council estate.
We ate in the hotel restaurant on two occasions and found the food to be grossly overpriced and not particularly good.
On the plus side, the rooms were nice and the the staff were relatively friendly.

I lived in Aberdeen 1951-1990, so when I knew we were going back to see old friends, I searched MANY sites to find this very good hotel. We got a very good SUITE at only 10 GBP more than a room. All mod cons including mini kitchen c/w fridge etc. A vg hot buffet breakfast with your eggs fried to order in front of you (90 seconds!) We were latish both days and there were no Famous Aberdeen Rowies (rolls) left for us. The location is better than it was and we had no problems with our car parked right behind the hotel. There is a line of shops and take-aways and a Post Office right behind the hotel. We were very satisfied. It is actually part of the Cain Group who are well known for upgrading hotels like this.

The hotel would be great if you could move it from its locality. When we arrived on Saturday the receptionist was calling the police to remove a group of men from outside who were shouting and swearing and thumping on the restuarant windows. Then one was chased off into the darkest areas of the council estate next to the hotel. Great for watching the natural habitat of the inhabitants of Aberdeen made famous by "Cold Granite" by Stuart McBride!!
Otherwise the hotel was great as I have said before
