“It's a pub!! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Some of the listings are incorrect, the Grill is a pub, not a restaurant, one of the oldest in Aberdeen in fact, it's an old fashioned traditional pub, with a very vast whiskey selection,

It's a good clean old fashioned boozer, with a classy touch, attracts a nice crowd and is excellent for a few beers and a read of your paper, main crowd is working class men, in fact a ladies toilet was only put in not long a go, when I've visited, the pints are spot on, and there's always a pie to eat or crisps , very basic!!!! But steeped in tradition makes this public house, an Aberdeen institution!! Give it a try if your passing!!

“This isn't a restaurant!”

If you want whisky then the grill is the best place to visit in Aberdeen. Having visited numerous times however they don't sell restaurant food....!!!

“For whiskey lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

If You at all like whiskeys, this is the place to visit. They have like 600++ of them. Small, always crowded with lot of locals + some tourists.

This is the place to taste specialities, the knowledge of the staff is also remarkable.

I don't think they sell anything to eat - so forget the name.

Highly recommended!

“Whisky bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013 via mobile

Probably the best selection of malts in the North East of Scotland. Great selection of my two faves, Glendronach and Glenfarclas. Super pint of tennents as well.
Cracking bar full of business folk, punters, students and always a good craik with the bar staff :-)

“Best collection of whiskey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Amazing true pub. If wasn't looking for it would have walked right past. Superb service and knowledge of scotch. Not the cheapest spot but great value. The name still confuses me. It is a pub (and great one at that).
